Earlier this year I did press for Vacations during their first US Tour. The portraits I captured, and the Super 8 film can be seen on their upcoming tour promos.
Now they are coming back to the states with 12 gigs all across the southwest. You can see some of the photos I captured, and more about their tour dates below.
I ended up shooting their live performance with my friend, Drew Petersen, and his vintage Canon. Loaded with Kodak Vision3 500T, we had no idea what to expect from this tiny film camera. But the product couldn’t have come out better
Even without volume, the footage did a great job capturing their electric groves and “Rage Against the Machine” vibes. If you haven’t gotten a chance to see Vacations live, I highly recommend not missing this tour.
